Solo And sonata Playing
One reason that I have always loved being a violinist is the sheer depth and breadth of our repertoire. Our canon spans the entirety of classical music’s history, and nearly every great composer has written for the violin. It really is an embarrassment of riches, and I consider myself very lucky to have this great music to live with, grow alongside, and be inspired by.
Chamber Music
Playing chamber music has been the constant thread throughout my education, my career, and my life in music. So much so that I have held membership in a piano trio, a string quartet, and now a string trio. I love the process of building a unified performance based on the collective ideas, creativity, and experiences of my colleagues. Each chamber music performance is a new conversation, and I hope to continue to have these conversations for the rest of my musical life.
